March 23, 2023 - We are pleased to have recently received System and Operations Control (SOC) 2 Type 1 certification for the Oasis Pro Markets platform. SOC 2 compliance is designed to ensure that technology companies meet appropriate criteria to protect customer information from hacks or threats and to securely manage 3rd party data to protect information and ensure privacy. The audit was conducted by Laika Compliance.
Completing the rigorous audit was a priority in advancing the reputation of Oasis Pro Markets as a secure platform. SOC 2 compliance can give security-conscious subscribers, vendors, and partners added confidence in Oasis Pro internal controls and compliance systems. In our view, this increased confidence will contribute to the platform’s ongoing growth, and to its competitive position in the market.
CEO, Pat LaVecchia, highlights “From our early days, we have taken the approach that we want Oasis Pro to be a leader in the space in compliance excellence. For the digital asset market to mature, participants need to know that the market has guardrails, the market has structure, the market has rules. Those platforms that demonstrate playing by the rules and pursuing high compliance standards will be the ones that are most widely used. This SOC 2 certification is another important example of our long-term focus on compliance and security on our mission to becoming a leading digital securities platform.”
SOC 2 Type 1 is a voluntary compliance standard that evaluates an organization’s cybersecurity controls at a single point in time. The audit is performed by American Institution of CPAs (AICPA) accountants. The goal is to determine whether the internal controls put in place to safeguard customer data are sufficient based on five “trust service principles”—security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. Prospective vendors and partners of Oasis Pro Markets can request a copy of our SOC 2 Type 1 report as part of their due
diligence process.
We will soon begin the process of pursuing SOC 2 Type 2 compliance. This framework further covers the suitability of a company’s controls and its operating effectiveness over an extended period of time.
